Meet Dr. Cristina Sandoval

Dr. Cristina Sandoval brings experience, compassion, and a dedication to excellence in eye care to the Garay Eye Care & Surgery Center. A Board-Certified Optometric Physician since 2017, Dr. Sandoval is passionate about helping patients preserve and improve their vision through personalized, expert care.

Originally from Ocoee, Florida, Dr. Sandoval completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2011 and her Master’s in Molecular Biology in 2012 at the University of South Florida. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Dr. Sandoval is an active member of the Florida Optometric Association and currently serves as Secretary of the Central Florida Society of Optometric Physicians. She stays engaged with evolving optometric legislation and remains committed to advocating for her profession and her patients.

Dr. Sandoval provides primary eye care services and manages conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and corneal diseases. She has a special focus on fitting patients with specialty contact lenses, particularly scleral lenses. Dr. Sandoval also sees same-day emergency patients, performs dry eye evaluations, and co-manages surgical cases.

Outside the office, Dr. Sandoval enjoys life in Orlando with her husband, Jorge, their son Andres, and their beagle, Charlie. They love traveling, spending time with family, and discovering new adventures on the weekends.
