Meet Dr. Leslie Garay
Dr. Garay is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the head of the Garay Eye Care & Surgery Center. She obtained her medical degree from Rutgers Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. Following her ophthalmology residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson, she received additional fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at the esteemed University of California, San Diego Shiley Eye Center. She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Medical Association.
After completing her fellowship training, Dr. Garay served as a clinical instructor at the renowned Wills Eye Hospital, where she helped train residents. She later relocated to Hawaii, where she served as a comprehensive ophthalmologist for Kaiser Permanente.
Dr. Garay’s areas of clinical interest encompass corneal and anterior segment pathology. She possesses considerable expertise in various surgical techniques, including refractive cataract surgery, pterygium management, as well as the utilization of lasers.
