Routine Eye Exams
Routine exams are designed to assess the health of your eyes and track changes in your vision. During these appointments, our friendly and knowledgeable team takes the time to comprehensively examine the anatomy of your eyes to ensure that any potential concerns are caught early. We also evaluate any adjustments that may be needed in order to ensure that your eyeglasses and/or contact lens prescriptions are up-to-date.
Cataract Surgery
Cataracts are a common—but potentially distressing—condition where the lens of the eye becomes cloudy and causes vision impairment. Cataract surgery involves replacing the clouded lens with an intraocular lens implant (IOL), restoring clearer vision and potentially reducing or even eliminating the need for corrective eyewear.
Corneal Diseases and Treatment
The cornea is the clear covering over the front of the eye. It is designed to help focus light rays as they enter the eye while protecting the delicate structures inside of the eye. When the cornea becomes clouded, damaged, or otherwise compromised by injury or disease, vision can become impaired and the eye can be left vulnerable to damage. In these cases, our team can assess the nature of the issue and develop a treatment plan to restore ocular health. Dr. Leslie Garay has undergone advanced fellowship training in corneal disease management, enabling her to provide a range of innovative solutions.
Glaucoma Treatment
Glaucoma is a condition where pressure within the eye builds up and damages the optic nerve. Left untreated, it can lead to visual impairment and even blindness. Fortunately, glaucoma can often be successfully managed using surgical and/or non-surgical treatment options such as eye drops, oral medications, laser interventions, and surgery.
Refractive Surgery
Refractive eye surgery refers to a number of different treatments designed to address refractive errors—conditions where the shape of the cornea prevents light from properly focusing on the retina. Refractive errors lead to common vision problems, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and blurriness associated with astigmatism. LASIK and PRK surgery both involve the use of lasers to reshape the cornea for improved light focusing. RLE, or Refractive Lens Exchange, refers to the process of exchanging the natural lens of the eye with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL).

BOTOX® Injections
While BOTOX® injections are perhaps best known for their ability to temporarily reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, they are also FDA-approved for the treatment of a variety of other conditions. These include chronic migraines, blepharospasm (eyelid spasming), and strabismus (crossed eyes, or a condition where the eyes do not line up in the same position due to issues with the muscles around the eyes).
Lid Lesion Excision
An eyelid lesion is an abnormal growth that develops around the eye. They can occur for a variety of reasons, including infections, structural issues, and blocked glands or ducts. In some cases, lid lesions can also be cancerous, so your doctor may send a sample of the lump to a pathologist for testing. The removal process will depend on the specific type of lesion being removed, but treatment options can range from drainage to full surgical excision.
Management of Other Eye Diseases
Certain eye diseases—such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and blepharospasm—are considered “chronic,” meaning that there is not necessarily a definitive cure or solution. Our eye care specialists are highly experienced in helping patients manage these conditions, enabling them to slow disease progression and control symptoms in order to enhance overall quality of life. Drs. Garay and Franco have received advanced training in a range of different treatment modalities, including laser procedures, and surgical interventions.
